FAQ

Questions, answered.

Discovery and Stories launched in 2026. The Olomoon Challenge is planned for 2027 and is not yet open.

Why not just use LinkedIn or GitHub?

LinkedIn and GitHub show what already exists — if you know what to search for, and if the builder already has an audience. Olomoon finds it, tells its story, and gives it a lasting, curated home. We don’t just host profiles: we look for remarkable young builders, feature their work with their consent, and connect them to a community, mentors and opportunities. And we want to encourage AI solutions with positive impact — a general platform is neutral about what gets built; we are not.

Who can apply?

Anyone aged 18–25 (of legal age), anywhere in the world — in or out of school. Teams are welcome — the strongest often pair someone who understands the problem with someone who can build.

Who reviews Discovery projects?

Every application is reviewed by the Olomoon team before publication. We assess its AI and technical substance, its potential for positive impact, and whether the submitted content is appropriate and safe, including presentation videos. Olomoon may hold, request changes to, or decline an application when the materials provided do not meet these requirements. Where possible, we will explain our concern and invite the candidate to respond or revise the submission. Review is not certification or endorsement, and projects are not scored or ranked.

What is Olomoon not?

Olomoon helps people discover promising young AI builders and their projects. We do not certify candidates or projects, guarantee outcomes, or act as a recruitment or investment adviser. Any hiring, investment, partnership or other decision remains the responsibility of the parties involved.

What are Discovery Pioneer and Discovery 100?

Two distinctions that recognise the earliest projects selected for Discovery. Olomoon Discovery Pioneer goes to the first 20 projects selected for Discovery, and Olomoon Discovery 100 to the first 100. Projects 1 to 20 carry both; projects 21 to 100 carry Discovery 100 only. They mark early arrival, not a Challenge award or a ranking of quality.

Do I need to be an AI expert — or have a university degree — to join Olomoon?

No. Most Olomoon roles need curiosity, communication, research, storytelling, community-building or organisational skills. We welcome different educational paths, including self-taught contributors and people without formal qualifications. Advanced AI expertise is needed only for a small Technical Review Team and, later, the Challenge review process.

How do I get in touch?

For any question about Olomoon, Discovery or the Challenge: hello@olomoon.org. To join the Operational Team or ask about a role: join@olomoon.org.

When does it open?

Discovery and Stories are open now, launched in 2026. Applications for the first Olomoon Challenge are planned for 2027; create your Olomoon account and we’ll email you the moment they open.

What do I submit?

The problem, your solution, the AI architecture, your prompts and workflows, key artefacts and a short demo video. It’s about the intelligence of the solution, not polish.

Do I need to write code?

No. Code and prompts are welcome, never required. Olomoon judges the intelligence and impact of the solution — engineers, clinicians, teachers and people working in NGOs compete on equal footing.

Can I submit an existing project?

Yes — already built something, even a recent hackathon winner? You can submit it, within a 24-month recency limit.

Who owns my work?

You do. You’ll choose what’s public on your project page; your intellectual property stays yours.

Does it cost anything?

No. Taking part in Olomoon is free.
